5. The first recorded kiss was one of:
Answer: deceit (Jacob representing himself as Esau)
"And Jacob went near unto Isaac his father; and he felt him, and said, The voice is Jacob's voice, but the hands are the hands of Esau. 23 And he discerned him not, because his hands were hairy, as his brother Esau's hands: so he blessed him. And he said, Art thou my very son Esau? And he said, I am. And he said, Bring it near to me, and I will eat of my son's venison, that my soul may bless thee. And he brought it near to him, and he did eat: and he brought him wine, and he drank. And his father Isaac said unto him, Come near now, and kiss me, my son. And he came near, and kissed him: and he smelled the smell of his raiment, and blessed him, and said, See, the smell of my son is as the smell of a field which the LORD hath blessed:" (Genesis 27:24-27 KJV)

6. How many people are required to establish a capital crime?
Answer: Two (see explanation below the verse)
"At the mouth of two witnesses, or three witnesses, shall he that is worthy of death be put to death; but at the mouth of one witness he shall not be put to death." (Deuteronomy 17:6 KJV)
The intention of the queston was to ask how many witnesses was required to establish a capital crime (i.e., punishable by death) Unfortunately, I didn't ask that specifically. A participant pointed out to me that to "establish" a capital crime you not only needed the witnesses, but the offender. Therefore, the minimum is 3 (since there are some capital crimes that have no human victim). But then, we could then argue that we should recognize that even in these circumstances that the "victim" of the crime is God and therefore make it four. Of course you can then take this further and say that since Classic Christianity believes in Trinitarian theology, i.e., that there is one God, made up of three persons - that even when God is the "victim", how many persons do we count. And I thought it was a simple question! But I appreciate the dialog and participation of the group!!

7. The number 7 is the Biblical number representing divinity.
Answer: False - The Book of Revelation indicates the devil has 7 heads. The number seven indicates completion or fulness. The devil having the fulness of evil within him.

If you can't tell me the answer, you must give me thirty linen garments and thirty sets of clothes." "Tell us your riddle," they said. "Let's hear it." He replied, "Out of the eater, something to eat; out of the strong, something sweet." For three days they could not give the answer. On the fourth day, they said to Samson's wife, "Coax your husband into explaining the riddle for us, or we will burn you and your father's household to death. Did you invite us here to rob us?" Then Samson's wife threw herself on him, sobbing, "You hate me! You don't really love me. You've given my people a riddle, but you haven't told me the answer." "I haven't even explained it to my father or mother," he replied, "so why should I explain it to you?" She cried the whole seven days of the feast. So on the seventh day he finally told her, because she continued to press him. She in turn explained the riddle to her people." (Judges 14:12-17 NIV)
