JoshuaNet
The following section The name Joshua is the transliteration of the Hebrew name, Yeshua, from which the Greek transliteration of Jesus is derived. Both mean "Yahweh (or Jehovah) saved us."
The Net portion comes from two different areas. First, many of the original twelve apostles of Jesus were fishermen. The primary method of catching fish was to throw nets in the water. We see that in the Gospel accounts. However, Jesus told His followers that He would make them “fishers of men.” Second, the contemporary use of the term Net for the internet. As stated the primary purpose of this website is to tell the good news of Jesus Christ through the technology of the internet. Thus our logo which displays two men rescuing another man from a storm by catching him in a fishing net. Our desire is that those who are spiritually lost or need help will find some assistance here at “JoshuaNet.”
